We are beat down!!

I just happened to see the top thread was "What to day when they ask, "Why don't you get a DSLR." "  in the Sony Nex forum.

I see we are throwbacks, knuckle dragging Luddites.

Wow.  They claim the same sensor, same software, better lens selections, and 1/3 the space, they don't lug around 25 pounds of gear to shoot the Le Louvre.

Such a sad sack lot is ours, the DSLR users, despised, thrown away, in a league of no-ones, unloved, exasperated, clinging to the hope of 12 new lenses with firmware downloads that put the big Unix o/s in our cameras, brand new adjustable screws mounted on each corner of the lens to correct back and front focus, side focus, upside down focus, and focus fatigue.  That said we all wish our cameras had high speed data transfer to our iPods, or maybe to the Mother Ship up in the cloud(s).

I can see a day when the Nex is integrated into your hat, one lens on each side for 3D with a HUD in the corner of each eye.  Fast shudder speed.  Wipe your aspurtshure with a damp cloth and get all the stuff off your sensors.  Little wipers.  That's what we all wish for on our lenses, self mounting, auto adjustable, comes with a screwdriver, and new pellicule mirror and plug in sensor so you just get a new one next year.  Oh boy.

All of this and I think it's easier to hire someone to shoot pictures of women.  Then I just look at them and don't worry about my gear..(sound of me walking away...)

Just back from the store.  Gave away my camera gear and bought a playboy.  They still have staples in their navels.  Good shots anyway.  Very artistic.  I'm putting one up in my garage.  Cool.

.tic tic tic. .... wish I had some gear so I could go back to dpreview and argue....oh well.
