Open Letter to Sigma / Tamron / Tokina

I really appreciate their new offerings for m43rds, but why just imitate what we already have?  Yes, I'm happy to have choice in 60mm f2.8 lenses from Sigma and Tamron adding yet another slow zoom lens to our set of choices.

But why not offer something we don't already have?  Fill in a niche?  It doesn''t need to be something radical, just oh say a fast zoom lens or a > 100mm telelphoto prime?  It seems like good business sense to do this, doesn't it?  Firms always make more money by being where others are not, not be putting out the 3rd or 4th 'me too' product.
