thanks. And yes, 16 or 17mm would have brought sometimes the much more dynamic perspective in that tight crowd.

Regarding the 24-70: I really enjoy the lens as it is extremly sharp, but especially I really like the contrast and the colours. It is an absolut highlight in the lens setup of Canon. AF is spot on and fast and also the 24mm are very good (especially in comparision with the 24-105).

But I have to mention that with a little bit of bargaining I payed less than 1500 Euro here in Malaysia, so far less than the recomended price. The Tamron still costs roughly 900 Euro here in Malaysia.
