They ARE above you....that's why they are in charge of your nation.
Ah, but that is the real point. They are not supposed to be above us. Ever hear the phrase "Of the people, by the people, and for the people". Those of us agreeing with Henry are agreeing that they should not see themselves as being above us - but as a practical matter over time they have done just that.
You Yanks just don't get it do ya. There will always be some kind of ruling class....otherwise it will be all just Indians and no Chiefs.
Agreed, but the trick is for the ruling class to trick everyone else into thinking they are in charge - when in fact they are not. That is what we have in the US. Elections are largely a sham because the candidates are vetted by special interest before we ever get to place a vote. And then the media hypes up and exaggerates their typically slight differences. It's all a show
