I bought an SEF20A on sale for $170. Which is still a bit steep considering it's essentially a Sunpak unit that sells for around $75 for other systems.
The SEF42 is the same sort of thing. A $150 Sunpak flash that's advertised at over $350 in Canada.
Fortunately I have a Nikon SB-800 and a Sunpak Auto 544 that work in thyristor mode if I ever need a bit more candlepower. I also have a Metz 54 AF-1 that works in manual mode. Then again I bought my NX210 for its size and portability. I'm not all that inclined to carry around a big flash unit with it.
