D4-Live View Photography "Silent" Mode! Simply Amazing!

I'm on the verge of buying a D4.... Aside from all other features, the fact that it has a silent mode... for the fact that I can use this instead of a blimp.

Is this a legitimate replacement for a blimp? Do I still get high res images?

Good idea or bad?
