The transmission question was really whether T1.4 through the lens really amounts to 1.4 on the sensor. Digital sensors appear to struggle with large acceptance angles (eg, http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Publications/DxOMark-Insights/F-stop-blues), but perhaps Sony have done something with the microlens array or something to improve that on the 6. Not a big deal, but as it's easy to test for, I was just curious.
This sounds like the issue that people have run into before using SLR magic's T/0.95 hyperprimes on NEX.
