Why do people tend to make everything into an either / or discussion?

There are applications where digital is not a good solution (yet / ever).

Two that come to mind that are impossible with digital:

1) Very long exposures: 6 month exposures (Solargraphy) and Vera Lutter's amazing work with pinhole cameras

2) And the already mentioned: Sunburn done in 2007 and hanging in the Metropolitan Museum in NYC.

I am sure there are many other examples.

I, for one, hope Film never disappears. People claimed vinyl records would disappear as well.
