NEX-7 SEL18200LE focus problems

I haven't had difficulty with the original SEL18200 either.  As far as focus, its fine for the most part, but I always check with DMF.

To the OP, do you have the AF illuminator light on?  I turned mine off a long time ago, and can't remember if this could be confusing the camera.
