New monitor for photo retouch... Any suggestion?

Hi all,

I am on the market for a new monitor (not an urgent purchase, but I am starting looking around). I am looking for a 24" wide-gamut monitor. For the moment my ideal candidate would be the Eizo CX240, if it wasn't for its price (I also have to mention that it has been launched 2-3 months ago and it is still difficult to find). So, my first question is, have anybody tried this monitor? Any comment on it?

Second, obvious, question is: would you please suggest any other display to be considered as an alternative? Ideally the price should be under EUR 1,000.
