Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountain National Park......Winter Morning

Got up early to shoot sunrise at the Cove. Never expected a wonderful winter wonderland...no snow...but the most beautiful sunlight frost on everything!!! Light though was changing so fast it was impossible to keep my concentration. Everything was white...almost like a natural infrared.
Also, I was shooting and learning with a new camera. I normally use Nikon D700/800. These were taken with Canon T4i. I didn't quite know how it was going to do with the extreme low contrast light.

Harsh shadows were creeping in but still decided that it was worth the capture.



I liked this one in color too.
