Apologies in advance about this age-old question, but I'm still having difficulty with understanding -

I have a 650D with a Tamron f2.8 17-50mm lens.

.40-45mmMainly taking photos of my kids, I find that most of my images are being taken at
I am looking at investing in a Canon prime.
prime?EFShould I be looking at a 28mm or a 50mm
