Typing this on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch.

I bought this for an easily portable device for wifi internet access while on vacations. Samsung just upgraded the Android OS version to the latest Jelly Bean.

I have the kindle app so it doubles as an ebook reader. I have installed the QuickPic app for picture viewing.

I added a 32gb microsd card to hold pics, music and videos.

I chose this over the Nexus because;
1. Expandable by adding microsd cards
2. Ability to easily transfer files via an OTG usb cable.. about $3. I simply plug in my usb sd card reader and moce files around

The Google devices are geared around you buying cloud storage. I want to manage my own data thank you!

This device does not have hdmi, nor does the nexus,out but you can get cheaper 7 inch tabs that do have this.

I hear good reviews for the Ainol Crystal.

I'm delighted with this Samsung!

The Tab 2 is a nice tablet with the exception its only 1024 x 600 vs the Nexus at 1,280 x 800 so that's about 33% more resolution. The Nexus has a quad-core Tegra 3 processor which also in my side by side comparisons blew away the Tab 2 when browsing the net. The Tab2 is better in the fact you can use a micro sd card easier and it has a rear and front camera vs Nexus only a front camera. The Nexus you just attach an OTG dongle if you want more storage. I decided on more resolution for videos & movies, higher quality images and beefier processor when I got my Nexus.
