LA-EA2 w/ OSS

There has been quite a bit of complaint of no OSS on the NEX camera series, since many use NEX for legacy lenses or A-mount through adapters (most E-mount lenses have OSS). While having stabilization as a feature in NEX cameras may seem impossible at this stage, why not add OSS on the lens adapters, like the LA-EA2 for A-mount? Would this be mechanically possible?
