Cropping is nothing more than selecting a certain portion of a captured image.
If you then view that portion at some size which permits you to see artifacts, so be it. The cropping per se has no bearing on the quality of the capture.

It is clear that printing these crops at let's say A4, A3 size, poster size (THE DSLR strength versus bridge) is a laugh.

Maybe so but your continued assertion that cropping lessens the image quality is not a valid statement…and if you want to get crazy take a d800 full res image and view it on a jumbotron from 100 feet away…it probably will lose some of its magic as well since you will be able to actually see the individual pixels that make up the image.
