is the 105mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor okay for portraits?

Or is there a visible disadvantage relative to the 105 f/2 DC?

And is there a visible advantage in the AF-S version over AF-D?

I want to do both, Macro and Portaits, and I'm undecided over these 105mm lenses.
