This image was taken in Lake of the Woods, Ontario last summer using the A900 and Minolta 24-105. The eagle's nest was located 40 yards to the right of the frame. I felt the landscape demanded the use of a wide angle rather than the long glass I had with me.

Man this is a fine image! Congrats! How is that 24-105 on FF any issues?

The Minolta 24 - 105 has worked well for me. I realize it isn't up to the standards of some of today's lens, but I can assure you that it produces very sharp 16 x 24 prints. I find the older Minolta glass to be excellent with a full frame body.
