Back and forth, back and forth ...

If I ever have to change system there are 2 camera I will always hang onto . The E-500 ( Prosperity) and the E-30 as a well balanced photographic machine.

You are correct in the detail . I am starting to find there is some times more detail in the E-30 shoots as to the E-5. More noise yes but if you PP you can get out amazing detail. I sometimes find the E-5 picture a bit flat compared to the E-30. Handling wise its the best E series camera ever.  Yep the E-1 is/was good but never as responsive as the E-30.

Enjoy the camera it is a great tool.
