On the pier .......
I got a loan of the ultra wide Zeiss 15/2.8 ZF2 and took it down to the Mordialloc pier at sundown while the Australian Open finals was being played out on centre court last night.
My observations were that this lens is extremely well corrected (as in rectilinear), handles flare very well even when pointing straight into the sun (most times), heavy as can be with a big wide front end. Anyway, I just wanted to share a few pictures; strictly non Leica.
All shots were taken mainly at f13 (from memory) and the D3 was tripod mounted. Not sure if my horizon is all that straight in the first. I also noticed some banding in the sky though that may not be obvious in here. And this was before any processing. Wonder what caused it?
Thanks for viewing.
