Do you all think it will be before a pinhead sensor camera can produce an image like this at 100% crop. Do you think we will even get there? (Joms.... don't click on that link, it will make you sick with envy... as it did me.)

100% crop from the middle 1/16th of the frame - D800

Nikon AF - One Shot ..... One Kill

Yes cropping DSLR pictures kills the image quality. Better is to use a bridgecamera with a zoooooooomlens (like the HS50).

Wrong. As always.

Kim Letkeman says: Cropping DSLR pictures does not kill image quality.

Cropping a dSLR does not kill image quality.

Here, for example, is a 100% crop shown embedded in a D300 image. This dSLR is now 2 generations out of date, yet the per-pixel image quality is superb.

Using a bridgecamera with a zooooooomlens instead is just plain stupid.

No. But your comment certainly qualifies.

Sounds great, as always.

Yes, when comparing with your own comments, I cannot help but agree with you that my comments sound great. As always.

This is really getting absurd. That cropping example looks like sh*t. The battle is lost. Accept it or leave the bridgecam forum with your DSLR promotion talk please.
