Leica M240: pre sales hype.

Just a general conversation to say I've pre-ordered the Leica M 240 and sold my Leica M9 in anticipation. I believe I'm number four at the Leica store.

The way Leica has dealt with the pre sales hype is terrible in my opinion. Trying to get sample shots seems an impossible task. Can it really be that difficult to give maybe three photographers a camera and a get a semblance of shots that show high ISO shots in reasonable light that are sharp and and well exposed. Surely the firmware must be almost there?

The release of the first M9 and M240 confused shots by photographer Jean Gaumy is a bizarre way to announce to the world the Leica M240. I know he's a great photographer and I'm not going to bash his shots but the mix up between the M9 and M240 was unfortunate to say the least.

Dr. Ulrich Rohde, I know you contribute very positively to the forum (and I value and enjoy your contribution), but when I read your posts it just seems painfully slow to just to take 6 shots of a set up with different ISO's as an example.

Leica have told me that the M240 should be available in February.... please can someone post some samples which have some information in that will help us judge the the new camera and not.

I am inpatient, please can someone please enlighten me....
