Fine vs Super Fine revisited

I was extremely happy that Canon put s/f back into the new sx50. However upon side by side comparisons under good light/outdoors of the same exact subject, I couldn't really tell the difference when I pixel peeped, maybe I could detect a hair bit more detail in s/f images but I do not think the average Joe will notice at all. I am just glad s/f is back thats all.
