I do not think that buying legacy lenses saves money. I think it is waist of money. Except of Sigma 2.8/90 MACRO, I do not use the rest of my collection (8 more lenses)

By my estimates, I've lost approx. $600 on legacy lenses and adapters

assuming you paid FMV for those lenses, you should be able to sell them for about what you paid for them.

Can't say that about your native lenses, can you?

Another huge advantage of legacy lenses.

They really don't cost you anything if you don't like them.

$60 for lens + $20 for adapter. What about adapters?

What are you going to lose on the adapter, like $5.00?

What are you going to lose on a modern u 4/3 lens if you try to resell it, $100.00-$200.00?

case in point - when i bought my gh-1 kit, the 14-140 that came with it was a $900 USD lens. Now, about $700 (or less if on sale)....

I doubt that you would get $500.00 if you tried to sell it as a used lens.
