You need to get a mecanical cable release adapter from Richard Franiec, then get yourself any old shutter release cable here:

In the bulb mode you cant choose the specific exposure time you're right, but if you start full press shutter and you ignore it, once the camera hits 240 seconds it will automatically capture and store it.
