The OMD is a worthwhile upgrade to the ep3 if you can afford it. I have the ep3 and can tell you it's a wonderful camera. I get very good shots up to ISO 1600 if properly exposed. The very nice thing about micro four thirds is the lenses. I carry a 3 lens kit in my jeans pockets when I go out to shoot. The lovely prime lenses are a joy to shoot with. Image quality is way better than the Pentax k10D DSLR it replaced. My path into micro four thirds was to go with a used ep3 and spend my budget on lenses. I'll upgrade to the OMD later on when the camera drops a lot in price. I'm not missing much of anything at all not having the OMD right now. There is something magical about the Pen cameras for sure.
