Before unloading your DX stock, you may want to check and see if they may be usable on your D600.

That's a good point. And for some people who have specific applications where the IQ at corners and edges are not critical and / or they add vignette in post processing anyways, they can shoot away quite happily. 55-200 vr lenses are going very very cheap on the used market, as are the 35/f1.8
