Why choose LX7 over the competitors?

Although I am also a Sony and Nikon shooter, some of my best photos for several years have been courtesy of an LX3, then LX5 and now LX7.   They are often the right camera at the right time and at the $299 price over Christmas,  and confidence in this series of cameras,  it is  a great compliment for any photographer.
