Opinions of NX100

I do not own the NX100 but I own the NX10. I have played with an NX100 in store as well.

In 2010, the NX10 was not the best camera, but it was very decent. Menus are clean, attractive, and intuitive. Sensor wasn't the best but not terrible. Focusing speed in the middle of the competition.

However I would steer you away from purchasing the NX100. There are many newer models that are fairly cheap too, from 400-500 dollars if that is in your budget.

My NX10's sensor (same sensor as the NX100) is showing its age. High ISO is noisy and smeared, DR often limited. If video is important to you, I don't mind only being able to do 720p, but there is huge amounts of rolling shutter, and moire is present too.

Additionally, focusing speed is decent, but definitely nowhere as fast as today's cameras.

Unless you get the NX100 really cheaply, I wouldn't say it's worth it.

But that is up to you. It's not a terrible camera if you want it. I just think there are better options at present, again, depending on how much for what you're looking for.
