Thanks for the link! Very interesting stuff... I ran across the "Rails" automation systems in my research and they are expensive, the hack could save others loads for sure. But, I am shooting Architectural/Landscape work and need to "Move" my rails several hundred feet at times and a few inches is great for macro but won't slice it for me. (sorry for the pun, couldn't resist)
I need what these guy's at Helicon and Promote have developed. A way to "Step" my X-E1's linear motors that are built into the AF of the lenses. I only wish that someone finds their way into the camera's firmware code where the stepper motors can be controlled externally from the Fuji X-E1. It would give my shooting experience new life and less tedium.
