Archiving Digital Pictures par date taken!

I am nearly finished assembling a 12 month sequence of shots from the same location, hopefully to reflect the changes in the seasons, I have used a D700 a D800 and recently a D800e, as a default I think Bridge works off the image number so with three different cameras there was some image number duplication which did not correspond to the actual date the image was taken, as per Steve's suggestion I went to the menu item ' sort '  and selected ' date created '  about 5 seconds later 150 full fat tiff files were in the correct sequence.
