Markus, thank you for a wonderful post. Must have taken you a while and very much worth it.

I personally currently have an emp-2. I started with a gf2 which I used mainly with the 20mm. It produced lovely images but the autofocus was slow. Recently I got the Olympus but there is something (maybe ergonomics wise) I am not getting to grips with.

I kind of went crazy and bought the 45mm (wonderful lens) and had the 14mm from the gf2 package. I recently bought the 45-175x when in America as it was cheaper.

But, even though it is not massive i realsize that I like phrography but with young kids I don't, or can't be bothered to, carry the camera plus extras lens everytime I go out.

I kind of want an all in one which will still hve high quality but I can still learn and play around a bit. I appreciate the x20 will actually be a little larger than the emp2 but only when using the 14mm.

So I will for sure lose resolution a bit but I am not a pixel peeper so hopefully still good quality from x20 which sounds like the case.

I think I am pretty much convinced that x20 is way to go. The size of the rx100 is a big draw but I can see how I agree with everyone's comments here and know that After 2 months would probably end up selling it as well.
