Magellan calling



Hi

Here is Magellan, our rescued lorikeet calling out to mum and dad to come feed and groom her.

Magellan fell at my feet 5 days ago and no amount of help could get her to stay in her tree or a temporary nest I installed. We call her Magellan because she obviously likes to explore and the day after she fell out of the nest we found her approximately 100m away from her tree in a garden bed. We live in a beachside suburb near to Sydney,  Australia with lots of dangers for a little lorikeet unable to fly so we keep her at home and bring her down to her tree in the morning and evening to be fed and groomed by mum and dad. Hopefully in a week or so she will be able to be released back to her parents.
