Which to trial first - LR4 or CS6?

When my camera died on me recently I bought a new one, for which the RAW files aren't supported in PS CS3 (while awaiting repairs on my beloved old one).  The new camera has won me over but I'd like to have a better raw convertor for it and I'm planning to download trial versions of Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6.  I've used CS3 extensively but haven't tried Lightroom since an earlier trial, for which my previous PC was too slow.  I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on which would be better to try out first, since there'll be a substantial learning curve with each?
