great egret in flight

I have been told by someone or maybe more than one person that photographing birds in flight on cloudy days is a lost cause.  Here in Oregon if I don't photograph on cloudy days my camera would just seat and get dusty.  I think maybe Moose Peterson stated that photographing birds against a white cloudy sky is not worth it ugh!!!

Anyway yesterday I was photographing believe it or not white egrets against a white sky and I am attaching one of them.  I actually kind of like it, looks more like a painting.  See what you guys think?
