importing raw images
Jan 26, 2013

I'm not happy with my importing images work flow. and I think I'm Not getting very sharp images because of it. All I do is use dpp to save them to the hard drive than s syc up with LL4 and edit the raws their. After I edit the raw and save as JPEGs. I have noticed some people convert to tiff and then to jpeg, does that save some sharpness? I will not be printing as a rule. Most of my stuff is for web/smugmug.
I'm very new to raw and I do see the advantage now that I'm exposing to the right. But to be honest with myself my jpegs look better/sharper to me on my out door shots. I wonder about just use the dpp instead. What do you guys think does it really come down to technique with Lightroom? Thanks
