Thanks, Chris. I'm planning to purchase the X100s.

Actually, it is a problem ............ but just less so: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/post/50736159

I was glancing at the dpreview review of the Pro1 and noticed this. It's rare that this probem occurs.

Read the link I provided earlier, and within it you will find detailed analysis of the problem by Chromasoft. On this issue I trust Chromasoft more than DPReview.

The problem with the Chromasoft guy's initial write-up is that he comes acros as someone who's just pi$$ed-off at Fuji for making him think more and have to re-code his software.

Then he seems to infer that it's all their fault that he can't get it to work well.

In his November 2012 follow-up posts, he admits that his initial preconceptions were wrong, now that he's had more time to investigate the new sensor.

He does of course now have something to sell, AccuRaw - so he's clearly got an incentive to differentiate his product from the competition.

I'm sure that doesn't influence his judgement in any way though...

I'll give the guy props for taking something and making it into a revenue opportunity - he's clearly put some time in here

And it does illustrate that building post processing software for non-Bayer sensors is not a 5 minute process - but we knew that already...
