Lots of trickery in this shot. The rings are a photoshopped in background.
The picture was taken with the woman holding a bar with no weights on it. I did this to give a realistic effect of her hands wrapped around the bar.
The weights were photoshopped in after the shot.
Just to add a bit more her shoulders were made a big bigger and her waist a bit smaller with my favorite PS tool, filter-distort-spherize.
