If you're combining multiple images for HDR, then you are no longer taking the unaltered sensor output, so it couldn't be RAW format anymore, by definition.

As for my friend's picture here is the one i grabbed off his facebook. His photo seem to be more sharper with both blue and orange stand out more. I am not sure how much adjustment and change he made with post processing so I can't tell is it because of camera or not



This looks a bit unnaturally blue to me. The dark areas are also quite dark (in comparison to EG's touchup, where it looks like there is still some detail information in the shadows). Did you or your friend change white balance settings or contrast in post?
