Possible Topaz Adjust 5 problem

Using PS5; Win 7; both 64 bit; 12 Gig Mem. After making a selection (quick selection tool) > filter > Topaz Adjust 5 > adjust selection (usually Photo Pop and some brushing) > click OK > return to CS5 working screen > selection is completely black. Anyone else ever experience this? If so what is going on?
