I guess this isn't spamming ( as it is not intentional), so perhaps DPR does not like it called that...

There is probably something wrong with the routine. The only other thing you could try is clearing all their cookies and restarting the browser and logging in again... Can't imagine how, but that's what I do when something that normally run starts to hobble. Sometimes it helps, other times it doesn't.

Thanks for the suggestion. I cleared all my cookies a couple of months ago and it has had no effect on the Dpreview spam.

I define spam as unwanted and unsolicited emails.

Hmm, that would also cover Disqualification messages...

Ha ha. Yes, true. However, at least the disqualification message only comes once - the challenge "reminder" comes every month, apparently ad infinitum.

Good thinking!

I hope your reminders somehow cease.

Thanks mate.

Not sure what mail software you are using, but with mine, I can simply block any incoming email I do not want. I can flag it as junk, or I can block it completely. I do that all the time with spam email, or unsolicited emails.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I use Hotmail. I've been marking the Dpreview spam emails as "phishing scams", which I thought would help to block it. It doesn't seem to have worked.

Frankly, in my view the ideal solution is for Dpreview to stop sending me spam. I think that it is extremely unprofessional for a major website to send spam, especially to people who volunteer their time to host a series of challenges which benefit of that website.

I do not recall seeing anything on the Challenges page to warn me that I would receive spam after I had hosted the challenges, and nor do I recall ticking any box asking to receive spam.

I have emailed dpreview, as per the suggestion of Simon Joinson, but have not received a reply.

Here are some links to potentially help you block those emails.
