Epson R3000 Lightroom Settings
Jan 26, 2013

I'm a relative newbie to advanced photo printing.

I just got an Epson R3000 and am using one of the new iMacs that come fully color calibrated.

I'm doing most of my printing in Lightroom for now.  I've done a few test prints of the same photo under various settings. All of them have been done on Epson Premium Semigloss and that is the paper profile I have it set to.

I seem to get the best results when the "Color Matching" setting is set to "Epson Color Controls" and on "Print Settings" having "Color Settings" set to Epson Standard RGB, although Adobe RGB also seems to come close.

But I'm surprised that ColorSync isn't the most accurate.

Curious what settings other people are generally using.

Also curious whether I should be using the "16 bit" setting or not.  Seems to maybe make a very small positive difference.

And do you print most photos using the Photo 1440 setting or SuperPhoto 5760?

Any help is much appreciated.
