Without an aperture ring (and given that the ring on the Fuji x series is fly by wire, right) presumably it is possible to control aperture using the menu arrow buttons? Can anyone confirm?

You need to get an adapter for the lenses you want to attach to the Fuji's x mount.

There is no mechanical or electrical control from the camera; thus any manipulation of the aperture will either be on the lens or the adapter itself.
