EF and EFS lenses cannot be used on the NEX. Unless you use a likewise glassed adapter, a decent example not being available. And probably not worth the trouble.

Maybe I misunderstand you, but the statement above is wrong. To use any EF or EF/S lens on NEX body, you certainly don't need adapter with correction optics. (glassed adapter?)

Maybe this is not yours statement, but it is simply wrong. BTW, same applies for EF/EF-S lenses to EOS M mount. No correction glass needed for adapter.

There are tons of adapters for EF/EF-S lenses to E-mount, but only few will allow you to change the aperture from NEX camera. (Or to use AF, at rather slow speed).

That was my point. You cannot get a simple cheap mechanical adapter and bolt it up to an EF lens on a NEX and expect to get infinity and to have manual aperture adjustments. You may buy ones with glass to enable  infinity and you may get ones with aperture ring in the adapter. Or both.

FD to NEX...easy-peasy.

EF to NEX... not so easy.

But my whole post was wrong because I plumb forgot about the Metabones, which lets you do these things. Which is why I re-posted.
