NEX as a DSLR Replacement

It doesn't really matter whether NEX is primary or secondary body. My plan is to have NEX as go anywhere, light weight companion at shorter focal lengths, and DSLT (A55) addressing zoom and longer focal length needs. In fact, NEX is equally capable in the latter as well, and can serve in the backup role there (I could shoot sports with 85mm/1.4 on NEX and 200mm/2.8 on A55 or vice versa).

I didn't. But I saw your thread and went ahead and submitted a photograph in the Semi-Pro challenge, taken with equipment that cost $370 (and that includes 18-55 kit lens that I didn't use for the challenge). Even post processing is limited to RAW conversion and highlight/shadow tweaks in LR.

Going back to #2 above, I took that image while walking my dog at a neighborhood park, at dusk, and just because I could carry 300g of equipment around my neck while being prepared to use the "dog's business" bag.
