Advice on Macro lens and adapter for Samsung NX1000?
Congrats on your new Samsung NX1000! Although I haven't had a chance to play with one, it sure looks like a good deal, as well as being a very capable camera in the right hands.
Would kindly appreciate some guidance on the the below.
I am after a macro lens and adapter for my new Samsung NX1000, having just paid for the camera I am looking for used second hand to keep the cost down to minimum. Hence would be grateful for any recommendaitons and where to perhaps purchase
That's an excellent question, and I'd like to suggest asking the friendly folks on Samsung Forum?
I understand about keeping keeping costs down, and yes it's true you can have lots of fun doing macro on a shoestring budget. But ask yourself if you're the McGuyver type? Let me explain; if you're doing Macro on NX, then you have essentially two choices:
- Legacy glass + extension tubes + NX adaptor
Briefly, the M60SB is what I would choose, if budget permits. Actually, you can often find cracking deals on this lens, via eBay vendors in Poland, Hungary, and elsewhere. Just ask on the Samsung forum.
Failing that, there's always the Legacy glass + extension tubes + NX adaptor route. So have a look at this thread, and see if that helps you decide which solution floats your boat.
I found these on Ebay and would appreciate any views on what might be worth pursing as my first budget macro lens
In terms of adapter - minolta lens:
And would this be worth bidding upon?
Sadly, I think this particular lens is a) too complicated, b) too expensive, and b) not all that compatible.
So pls, have a search thru 'macro' therads on the Samsung forum. Good luck !!!
