1) NEX owners use them as second bodies, for convinience since their primary body is an SLR.

2) The DPR challenges are not an indication of serious photographers posts.
Correct, SLRs have been around longer so there's more of them which could partially why there's more of them in the challenges. But honestly who cares. Brand A might have the most cameras in the challenges but you use Brand B - does that fact diminish your ability to take great photos? Personally I hate the challenges, I really like many of the photos, it's just I hate seeing a great looking photo given 0.5 stars by some punk out to screw with the judging system. IMO, anything under 2 stars should have to have an explanation to go with it. I don't care what their reasons for rating a picture are, I just want them to qualify it with sound reasoning. (I know, this isn't my website, so I have little say in the matter - but now being a NEX owner I won't be posting or visiting the challenges until the rules change.)
3) NEX owners/users care not to post in the DPR challenges.
Bingo.
Any thoughts?
