Lol, the watermark is right over the interesting part of the branch but thank you anyway.

As far as i can see, focus is accurate in both images. The GH3 image is just a bit softer. The fact that the bark on the right branch is also in focus is a coincidence, same distance as the head. It is also in focus on the D4 image.

There are 2 things that make the D4 image better in my eyes:

1. The resolution of the fur is better. This is related to a combination of ISO, MP and IQ of the lens. No big surprise.

2. The bg is much smoother on the D4 image and the leafs have a nice glow. This is an advantage of the larger format and you'd need a much faster tele lens to get similar results on the GH3.

On the other hand i can see a big improvement when i compare the GH3 image with my own leopard images shot with the E-3 and E-5 with the same ISO. Fur and feathers at ISO 800 and above have been a problem for the older FT/mFT sensors, fortunately this has been addressed now.

BTW:How long did you have to wait for her to appear? I once spent a whole day under an acacia tree and the d***** leopard waited until it was completely dark until he jumped down. Fortunately this was close to the camp and no rangers in the area.
