The IIs version is better not only because of higher natural resolution (i.e. resolving more detail), but because there is no need for pre-sharpening, so you don't have to amplify the noise in PP. You can get much cleaner high ISO print that way. And moire artifacts are pretty easy to get rid off in Lightroom 4, so even if you shot man-made materials it's not a problem at all.
