Yes, there is a firmware update for the Q, and also one each for the 01 and 02 lenses. All can be found on this page:
http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/download_digital.html
To upgrade the lens firmware is the same process as with the camera firmware. With the lens attached, when you go to the firmware update menu item, the firmware for both the camera and attached lens will be listed along with the option to upgrade it as long as you have the .bin file on the SD card.
