X20 - alternatives anyone ?

Hello Ken,

One very important thing you left out IMHO is financial conditon of the digital camera manufacturer of the camera brand you are considering! Many of the brands you have mentioned are in some type of scrape within Japan alone. Of these if you decide on one of these brands will be able to service your New digicam or digicams?

Frankly I do not feel qualified to suggest whatever type of digicam that I prefer because I truly do not know you well enough to advise you!

Plus I think you really need a professional photographer to give you the best advice.

I do what I do because I am in a very large photography club within San Francisco and another down in the Palo Alto, CA area. I see all the brands and images one can imagine and their many different type of formats by choice of the photographer artist showing his/her images as prints large and small to project to large screen. If I may be so bold as to suggest that you consider such a club there where you live if your time and local permit it.  I am sure this will help you come to a wiser choice in your actual needs.
